Hollywood Actor Goran Višnjić to Promote Šibenik Children's Festival Around the World

Croatia’s most famous actor, LA-based Goran Višnjić, is to promote the Dalmatian town of Šibenik around the world…

Originally from Šibenik himself, the actor, best known for his role as Dr. Luka Kovač on the NBC television series ER, will be the official ambassador of the 55th Šibenik’s International Children’s Festival, the Croatian National Theatre said.

The International Children’s festival in Šibenik, which opened last night and runs until 4 July, is a unique cultural event and celebration of children’s creativity and imagination. The festival has three basic programmes: a festival of domestic and international children’s ensembles, the workshop programme directly and publicly involving children in the act of creation, and an educational programme.

Višnjić’s role will be to promote the festival, its programme, and the town of Šibenik around the world. Višnjić will also be a guest at this year’s festival, which is now in its 55th year.
