VIDEO: Trailer drops for film 'General' By: Croatia Week

The much-anticipated film about the life of retired Croatian General Ante Gotovina will open at cinemas across Croatia on 5 August, which is Victory & Homeland Thanksgiving Day.
Today, the trailer for the film, directed by Antun Vrdoljak and starring Goran Višnjić as Gotovina, dropped.
“This is not a story of just one deserving man – a general of the victorious Croatian Army Ante Gotovina – this is a story about the Homeland War, but above all the story of the Croatian struggle for human and national freedom. This long historical story of ours has many protagonists and deserves many more quality movies,” the President Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović said before the premiere screening of the film at the Pula Film Festival last week.
The film also stars actors Boris Svrtan, Tarik Filipović, Rene Bitorajac, Goran Navojec and Nataša Janjić. Around 1,000 extras were involved in filming, which took place at 10 locations around Croatia, including Sveti Rok in the Lika-Senj County, Zadar, Imotski, Pirovac, and Pag, as well as in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Goran Višnjić Archive is a fansite for Croatian-American actor Goran Višnjić. He is best known for his role as Dr. Luka Kovač on ER, and he has also appeared in films such
as Practical Magic, The Girl With The Dragon
Tattoo, and Fátima. Most
recently he has starred as Garcia Flynn on NBC's Timeless, and as famed inventor
Nikola Tesla in the BBC’s Doctor Who.
